Spring Grove based Blanket Statements
launches online retail store to benefit
women’s shelters

BlanketStatements.org provides a good for
the greater good.

SPRING GROVE, IL – FEBRUARY 8, 2011 – (Wobwire.com) Blanket
Statements launches an online retail store that gives back to the community
through direct donation to area women’s shelters. Selling on the simple
concept that a single purchase will benefit not only the buyer but also a
woman in need, the online store offers only blankets in an effort to provide a
warm, comforting blanket to someone who could benefit from a simple
gesture.

“As a woman recently separated after twenty years of marriage I wanted to
provide support to other women who are experiencing the isolation and low
self-esteem issues I did,” stated Leslie Armstrong McLeod, owner of Blanket
Statements. “Purchase of a blanket from Blanket Statements results in an
additional identical blanket being donated to a women’s shelter to provide
warmth, comfort and love to a woman in need.”

Beyond merely providing blankets to shelters,
BlanketStatements.org strives
to provide blankets that are made in the USA, are organic, eco-friendly, or
from renewable sources like reclaimed cotton and bamboo. “We expect to
expand our product offerings to include even more eco-friendly products,”
states Armstrong McLeod. In addition to eco-friendly products, Blanket
Statements utilizes all eco-friendly packaging and promotional materials
whenever possible. From business cards made from recycled paper, to
biodegradable cotton ribbon to tie recycled paper statement tags to the
blankets, the company prides itself on keeping an eye towards the
environment.
