National Hispanic Entrepreneurs' Organization Soars with
Ambassador Program Launch
November 24th Free to Attend Fundraising Event
Posted by Dolores Volker
Charlotte, NC (Wobwire.com) -The National Hispanic Entrepreneurs'
Organization (www.nheo.org ) officially announced today the launch of their
exciting new Ambassador Program along with a November 24th Fundraising
Event. Though NHEO offers a wide range of developmental initiatives for
minority entrepreneurs, their Ambassador Program will specifically focus on
leadership development and the importance of community involvement. Each
volunteer will become involved in activities that include public speaking,
facilitating host and discussion groups, and work to be a liaison between
NHEO and their local community. In conjunction with the dynamic program
launch NHEO is also presenting their first "Cocktails and Conversation
Fundraising Event" on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009. The free event will
take place from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and be located at Cosmos Café
Balantyne in Charlotte North Carolina.
"We have grown substantially over the past months, both in membership
levels and with our successes in generating awareness," said Founder Juan
Pablo Giometti. "The Ambassador program will assist our organization in
moving towards the next level. We want entrepreneurs to know that they do
have a voice and they are the reason that we are here. The best way to do
that is for us to provide them the opportunity to have hands on involvement
in the development of NHEO."
The deadline for all National Hispanic Entrepreneurs' Organization
Ambassador Program applications is December 31st 2009. Final decisions
will be made by the organization in January, and the program will commence
in February 2010. If accepted each ambassador will become a full
representative with the organization for a period 10 months. Ambassadors
will learn to become "the person to go to" for the area that he or she is
representing, and will also be responsible for providing direct feed-back to
the NHEO initiative. Among other goals, responsibilities will also extend to
enlisting people to support NHEO projects and events.
"I welcome everyone to come out to come out and support our November
24th event to learn more about the Ambassador program as well as our
other active initiatives such as the NHEO Boot Camp and NHEO Challenge
programs." Said Giometti "The main goal is to continue nurturing our
relationships and keep meeting each other, all while learning more about our
vision."
The November 24th Cocktails and Conversation fundraising event will be a
free event open to the public giving all an opportunity to meet and mingle
with NHEO members and supporters. The opportunity will also be made
available to:
- Learn more about NHEO's Ambassador program (Leadership
Development).
- Learn about the NHEO Boot Camp and NHEO Challenge programs.
- Learn about procurement opportunities in NC funded by the stimulus
package.
A silent auction will be held to raise funds for NHEO giving attendees the
chance to get goods for great prices while helping out the cause. At the end
of the event there will even be salsa dancing. Pre-registration for the event is
currently available on the NHEO website.
